Pet Vaccination Clinic to Be Held at Gonzales Park

From staff reports

Attention Compton residents!

If you care for a dog, the city of Compton wants to help you keep your pet safe and healthy. The city, in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Control, will sponsor a low-cost pet vaccination clinic on Saturday, June 14 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Gonzales Park, 1101 W. Cressey St.

Dog owners are urged to come out and receive low-cost vaccinations. You can also obtain licenses or renew a license for your pet. There will be special rates for seniors (60 years of age or older) who are obtaining or renewing pet license.

Pets must be spayed or neutered to be eligible. Dogs must be on appropriate leashes with adequate collars to receive a vaccination or a license.

Most dog licenses expire on June 30. If not renewed by this date, a penalty fee may be incurred by dog owners. For more information, contact Patricia Sweet at (310) 605-6331.
